Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead production process development for a Line Replaceable unit in the Amazon Leo program. You will own production development, introduction, and continuous improvement of key modules for space-grade systems, working across design, factory operations, quality, and program management to scale manufacturing.

Qualifications

2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent.
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics/Optical Sciences or related field.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, design, develop, and improve production processes (assembly, integration, test processes) through collaboration/leadership of a team of manufacturing engineers.
Serve as primary technical interface to development team, participating as the lead technical voice from the factory in design reviews and new product development activities.
Support operations by solving complex technical blockers during production and quality containments.
Own the capacity increase roadmap for production, defining capital equipment and leading design, procurement, install, and qualification of rate-enabling equipment.
