Job summary

Phoenix Contact is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Systems Engineer I to support digital manufacturing initiatives. You will help connect production equipment to enterprise platforms, assist with data collection, and contribute to operational reporting.

Under guidance, you will develop foundational skills in MES, SCADA, IIoT, and industrial automation while collaborating with manufacturing, IT, quality, and supply chain teams to improve visibility and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Experience with MES/SCADA/IIoT preferred.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, data analysis, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Assist in configuring and supporting digital manufacturing systems.
• Support IIoT, MES, SCADA data collection systems.
• Monitor system performance and report issues.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations.
• Participate in testing, validation, and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
