Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA seeks an On the Job Trainer (OJT) to develop the next generation of C-130 mechanics on the production line. You’ll mentor hands-on, ensure quality workmanship, and raise team proficiency.

The role spans cross-functional areas, supports production and process improvements, and involves training peers, guiding problem-solving with internal customers, and promoting best practices on the shop floor.

Qualifications

  • Experience in training, leadership, or teaching roles.
  • Prior experience working on a aircraft production line.
  • Strong knowledge of Material Process Specification (MPS) and Inspection Practices.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring instruments.
  • Experience with SFM, QualSight/Apriso, DIMS, and EDW parts warehouse systems.
  • Experienced in sheet metal fabrication, electrical installs & aircraft tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering.
  • The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement.
  • Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
