Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced training specialist to establish and direct aircraft structures training for C-130 and F-35 programs, delivering classroom and practical instruction to maintenance, production, and flight operations teams.

You will maintain currency in technical advances, coordinate internal systems, review lesson plans, and ensure course control documents, while providing technical consulting to engineering teams to meet contractual training

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6+ years production experience with C-130 and/or F-35 structural aircraft build experience.
  • Oversee C-130 and F-35 skills centers and deliver structures training to production and flight operations teams.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and instruct blueprints and process specifications.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs on installation, maintenance, and repair of aircraft structures and tools.

Job description

What You Will Be Doing

Establishes and directs a training system and/or conducts classroom and practical instruction to provide technical knowledge for the safe maintenance, repair, and operation of aircraft, aircraft systems, ground equipment, tools, test equipment, stores and facilities, according to established procedures. May analyze current operating problems and future operating requirements to identify training needs and develop training programs. Writes, edits, and produces materials for technical instruction. Provides assistance and support to all divisions in helping them determine their training needs and develop and conduct their maintenance training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of company-wide training programs. Establishes and directs the maintenance of a company-wide training and qualification record system. Maintains currency in technical developments, technical training, and audiovisual techniques including the maintenance of company aircraft instruction manuals. Coordinates all required technical training and outside contract sales technical training programs. Exclude ground school instructors. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications
  • Must have 6 or more years production experience with C130 aircraft and or F35 structural aircraft build experience.
  • Responsible for overseeing C-130 and F-35 skills enhancement centers.
  • Experience with delivering structures training to production and flight operations employees.
  • Establish and deliver technical training programs targeted on the installation, maintenance, repair, of aircraft structures materials, specific tools, test equipment, and utilize internal company systems such as SFM, QADS, ICA, PDM, MPS’s, PS, and JDL.

Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and instruct Blueprints and Process specifications

  • Review lesson plans and materials for technical instruction in preparation for class delivery.
  • Maintain instructor currency/proficiency of assigned courses.
  • Responsible for course control document reviews. Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically power point and excel.
  • Responsible for roster accuracy, and class completion verification.
  • Expected to provide technical expertise in a consulting role to engineering and production teams to meet DCMA 8210.0 and other contractual training requirements.

This position may require travel to support other sites that aligns to Marietta (Meridian MS & Clarksburg WV) as well as other F&FT training sites i.e. Fort Worth TX, Palmdale CA & Greenville SC.

  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and instruct Blueprints and Process specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and revise training material to keep technical information up to date and meet new training requirements
  • Demonstrated instructor skills including classroom lecture, lab performance demonstrations and evaluations.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00
