Job summary

Conax Technologies in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team toward production targets and quality standards. The role applies daily engineering tactics to manage processes and teammates for on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include coaching, standard work development, payroll oversight, and cross-functional collaboration with HR to resolve conflicts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Experience leading teams or supervising others.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient with Office365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication and ability to work with a diverse workforce.
Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate manufacturing teammates, assign tasks, and follow production schedules.
Coach and develop teammates, ensure cross-training and career progression.
Develop standard work and ensure adherence to it.
Approve time off and reconcile weekly labor hours for payroll.
Communicate expectations, provide feedback, and address performance issues.
Provide coaching and handle disciplinary actions as necessary.
Monitor training status and coordinate with HR on personnel conflicts.
Address operational issues via problem solving and lean methods.
Plan staffing to meet on-time delivery and optimize productivity.
Lead by example in 5S, Daily Management, and Visual Management.
