This position is responsible for implementing the Head of Departments direction of activities of all personnel assigned to the production area. The Supervisor should obtain the most efficient use of personnel and resources to meet Safety, Quality, Production, and Cost related goals.
Essential Functions
- Assure compliance with all policies and safety rules.
- Quality minded leading team members in maintaining safety, quality and production levels as set by Company's management.
- Enforces Company and customer mandated quality standards.
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting TS16949 and understanding the consequences of the product/process not meeting the standard or customer’s quality requirements.
- Coach and lead personnel in the production area.
- Open to work in any shift, within a short notice.
- Must be open minded, with high behavioral skills and a good positive attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Control scrap, which includes, proper documentation, placement in assigned locations, and overall scrap reduction.
- Responsible for the 5S of the production area.
- Ensure all materials are in their designated area.
- Ensure FIFO procedures are strictly followed on all materials used.
- Verify all products are accurately labeled.
- Report downtime of equipment and coordinate the repairs with maintenance.
- Responsible for accurately completing all required production reports and submitting them to the Operation Manager.
- Document and report any personnel issues to the Manager and or Human Resources
- Assist in the training and development of Team Members.
- A good understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.

- -Ultrasonic Cutting JIG
Education/Background/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of relevant experience
- Requires one to three years of experience with quality; automotive field preferred.
- Strong written, verbal and analytical skills.
- Good presentation skills with proven leadership abilities.
- Computer literate skills including Excel and Word.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Experience in design and implementation of 1IATF 16949 and ISO 14001, Six Sigma, 8D, and other quality techniques.
- Work requires ability to delegate assignments, and coach and train employees to meet deadlines.
- Must have good interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy, to lead team members in a fair and consistent manner.
