Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee a production team, coordinate daily work and align with schedules to meet production goals. The role focuses on safety, quality and productivity while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

You will evaluate department performance, manage attendance and PTO records, and coach team members to reach strong results. Candidates should have a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and experience in a GMP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in a related field
  • Understanding of FDA regulations for medical device manufacturing, GMPs, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing tools
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
  • Experience leading a team and coaching others
  • Strong planning, organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment.

Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for supervising a team of employees, coordinating work assignments to meet production schedules, evaluating department and individual performance, and ensures compliance with specific regulations and policies.

Responsibilities
  • Directs the day-to-day activities of the production operation, Coordinates and supervises the daily production activities, daily scheduling for work force and set priorities to team to ensure task completion
  • Actively builds relationships across functions/businesses that bring value to the company, encouraging the participation and perspectives of all team members, regardless of background; mentors and empowers others to achieve success
  • Has in-depth knowledge of work processes and tools, maintaining 6S company standards and managing safety programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve safety, quality, and productivity metrics/goal
  • Ensures that accurate attendance/PTO records and scheduling are maintained
  • Completes detailed accurate performance evaluations of all direct reports
  • Maintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; insures a productive work climate in the production operation
  • Work on special projects as defined per business for each area of operation.
  • Applies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own area
  • Aligns individual goals for self and others with work area/functional goals
  • Perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by the Company, Local, and State and Federal provisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in related field, preferred
  • Understanding of FDA regulations for medical device manufacturing, GMPs, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing tools, preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs
  • Prior experience managing and leading a team, with a strong ability to motivate, coach, develop others, and collaborate effectively
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and demonstrate a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter willing to initiate beneficial projects for the site
