Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Manager to oversee all site assembly and production operations in El Paso, TX. You will drive production goals, KPI attainment, and staffing aligned with budgets while ensuring quality and P&L stewardship.

Lead a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on operational excellence and safety. The role requires strong leadership, a strategic mindset, and experience in GMP environments for medical devices/pharma.

Qualifications

  • 8–12 years of experience, preferred
  • Fluent English proficiency, preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Solid and proven management and leadership experience to include leading a multi-disciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Oversees administration of all assembly and production operations at a single site
  • Manages the attainment of production goals and KPIs including production goals, strategic initiatives, headcount and quality standard
  • Responsible for P&L and wellbeing of the department
  • Develops and works to achieve plant specific goals and budgets
  • Evaluates, adjusts, and manages workforce planning/ staffing levels based on customer insights, orders, and site demand
  • Ensures adherence to quality SOPs through collaboration with the quality team to identify and mitigate quality risk factors
  • Promotes Operational Excellence and teamwork, due diligence, and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Develops and executes manufacturing and Operational Excellence strategies to achieve Company objectives
  • Approves, influences, and oversees annual expense budgets for areas of responsibility
  • All employees are expected to maintain a safe and healthy work environment and follow EH&S policies
  • Adhere to GMP-based Quality Systems for medical devices and medicinal products
  • Lead by example and foster Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Accountability
  • Performance management and development of direct reports including appraisals
  • Encourage career development and succession planning aligned with Company vision

What Manufacturing Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function.

  • Approves, influences, and oversees the annual expense budgets for areas of responsibility

  • Adhere and ensures compliance of GMP based Quality Systems requirements for medical devices and medicinal product

  • Responsible for performance management and development of direct reports including written performance appraisals
