Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 3rd shift at Plant WD in Dalton, GA. You will lead a safe, efficient, and productive finishing operation, driving quality, performance, and cost control while mentoring front-line teams to meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities include daily shift management, coordinating with other departments, and monitoring performance metrics. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and prior manufacturing supervision experience

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Experience as Lead, Fill-In Supervisor or Supervisor within the last 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shift operations of the 3rd shift Finishing at Plant WD.
• Lead the shift in safety, quality, production and cost.
• Ability to solve problems, provide direction, coach associates and hold the team accountable; communicate with peers and management; drive improvements.

• Responsible for the daily shift operation of the 3rd Shift Finishing at Plant WD.
• Must lead the shift in safety, quality, production and cost.
• To be successful a supervisor, a candidate must be able to: solve problems; provide direction; coach associates; hold the team accountable; effectively communicate with peers and management; continuously drive departmental improvements.
• The Supervisor plans shift production using line up manager and works with other departments to meet customer demands.
• The Supervisor monitors the Head's Up Display screen to monitor process status.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Previous experience in manufacturing required.
• Previous experience as Lead, Fill-In Supervisor or Supervisor within the most recent 5 years required.
• Carpet Finishing Experience preferred.
