Job summary

Milliken & Company seeks a Summer Intern - Manufacturing at the Cushman Plant in Williamston, SC. The role offers hourly pay and an opportunity to work on a significant process improvement project under engineering supervision.

You will report directly to a manager – either a Senior Process Engineer or Process Improvement Manager. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with programs running mid-May through early August.

Qualifications

• Rising junior or senior at a university
• Working towards a BS degree
• Able to participate in the Summer Challenge Forum during the first week of June in Spartanburg, SC
• Able to participate in our final presentation review – date TBD

Responsibilities

• Manage a manufacturing related project for results
• Demonstrate creative thinking by identifying unique approaches to problem solving
• Communicate effectively one-to-one and one-to-a-group
• Work effectively with a diverse group of people to implement project improvements
