Spherion Staffing, LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant in Vandalia, OH to manage general ledger functions and multi-entity accounting. The role supports month-end closings in a fast-growing manufacturing environment and collaborates across Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to refine workflows.

The position offers a full-time, exempt schedule with opportunities across two entities and multiple ERP systems, focusing on accuracy, asset management, and cost/inventory accounting.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience: 3-5 years of general accounting experience, including 1-2 years handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Professional Traits: Strong organizational habits, high attention to detail, and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Post and record day-to-day financial transactions and general ledger data.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and support monthly closing procedures across multiple companies.
• Oversee fixed assets, support cost and inventory accounting functions, and back up key managerial roles.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Purchasing, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and streamline workflows.
• Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and GAAP standards.
