Job summary

VEZA Manufacturing is hiring a Staff Accountant to own parts of the monthly close, maintain general ledger integrity, and support AP/AR and bank reconciliations. You will assist in preparing monthly financials and variances, while supporting tax filings and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accuracy in numbers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel — pivot tables, XLOOKUPs, and formulas.
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
• CPA candidate or progress toward licensure is a plus; multi-entity experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Close: prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and meet monthly deadlines.
• General Ledger Integrity: keep GL clean and audit-ready, investigate discrepancies, maintain workpapers.
• AP/AR Oversight Support: review and approve invoices, monitor aging, ensure items aren’t missed.
• Bank & Account Reconciliations: monthly bank recs, credit card reconciliations, resolve outstanding items.
• Support monthly financial statements and management reports, including variance analysis vs budget.
• Compliance & Audit Support: assist sales tax filings and audit prep with organized documentation.
