Job summary

Card Monroe is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant who will manage general ledger activities, month-end close, and reporting. You will independently handle accounting processes and grow knowledge in manufacturing, project, and cost accounting.

You will work across GL close, analysis, tax compliance, and controls while helping improve systems and processes in our ERP environment. This role offers growth and impact within the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or 4+ years accounting experience.
• Public or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Epicor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger & Month-End Close: prepare entries, reconcile balances, and close activities.
• Accounting Analysis & Reporting: produce reports, analyze variances, support budgeting.
• Tax Compliance: prepare sales/use tax returns across jurisdictions and monitor changes.
• Controls & Process Improvement: follow GAAP, improve ERP data quality, support projects.
• Collaboration: work with team and communicate clearly on support or decisions.
