Job summary

Seco Tools is seeking a Project Engineer in Troy, MI to lead end-to-end manufacturing projects from concept through implementation, coordinating customers, sales teams, technical partners, and internal specialists. You will analyse processes, define machining and tooling strategies, and use CAD/CAM and simulation tools to optimise solutions and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years in production/mechanical engineering or related project delivery roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from concept to implementation.
• Experience with value-based or consultative selling, process development, CAD/CAM programming, CRM systems, and MS Office tools.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Turn customer needs into practical machining, tooling, and execution strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM and simulation tools to optimise processes, proposals, validation, and project documentation.
• Shape high-performing cutting-tool applications and machining strategies.
• Provide technical direction on tool design, programming, process optimisation, and digital solution validation.
• Coordinate sales, engineering, customer support, and specialists to achieve project goals.
• Coach and mentor colleagues to strengthen team delivery.
• Build trusted customer relationships and collaborate with sales through consultations and implementation.
