Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI is seeking a Software Developer - Manufacturing Applications to build and support software used to validate vehicle electrical systems across GM plants worldwide. Collaborate with manufacturing, software engineering, IT, and validation teams to develop reliable tools that test, diagnose, and improve EFTQ.

The role is an onsite position at the Warren Tech Center, requiring hands-on coding in C/C++/C#, debugging hardware interfaces, and cross-disciplinary cooperation

Qualifications

Proficient in C, C++, or C# with OO design.
Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software applications.
Strong debugging across software, hardware, and system integrations.
Experience with source control and modern development practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software for vehicle electrical systems and manufacturing validation.
Debug complex software/hardware integration issues affecting test processes.
Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, IT, and plant teams.
Support software validation using test benches and production vehicles.
Participate in code reviews, tests, and release processes.
Improve performance, reliability, and maintainability of applications.
