Job summary

General Motors seeks a Software Developer for Manufacturing Applications to design, develop, and support software that validates vehicle electrical systems and manufacturing processes worldwide. Qualifications

Design, develop, test, and support software applications used to validate vehicle electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot complex issues involving software, hardware, and system integrations.
Work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, IT, and validation.
Use source control and modern development practices.
Familiarity with automotive validation or manufacturing plants is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for vehicle manufacturing and electrical validation.
Debug and troubleshoot software, hardware, and system integration issues.
Support software validation activities using test benches, hardware, and production vehicles.
Collaborate with manufacturing, product engineering, IT, and plant teams to deploy reliable solutions.
Contribute to root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
Improve performance, reliability, usability, and maintainability through CI/CD.
Integrate software with manufacturing equipment, plant systems, and enterprise platforms.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
