Job Overview
Projects Inc. is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk with experience working at an AS9100-certified company and familiarity with ERP systems. We are a manufacturer of complex small, machined components for the Aerospace and Power Systems industries, with over fifty years in business.
The qualified candidate will be part of the Production Planning department, splitting their time between shipping and receiving, and occasionally delivering products using the company van based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Properly package and mark items for shipment, ensuring protection and identification during handling.
- Process parts through the shipping & receiving cycle, maintaining traceability of parts.
- Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices using ERP systems.
- Ensure proper storage of received items according to standards.
- Prepare outgoing shipments with secure packing, accurate documentation, and labeling.
- Review shipping documentation and confirm counts, inspecting parts for damages.
- Assemble packing materials, ensuring parts are securely packed to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and facilitate movement of parts.
- Inspect components for conformance to specifications.
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory supplies and use business systems for tracking.
- Prepare and process shipping paperwork, including international customs documentation.
- Verify and process incoming shipments, deliver parts to departments.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles for deliveries across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
- Perform vehicle inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of manufacturing-related shipping experience.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English, basic math, and computer use for at least three years.

- Organizational skills, technical ability, initiative, thoroughness, time management, communication, adaptability, and attention to detail.
Other Details
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, sitting, standing, etc.
- Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.
