Job summary

OSBORN LLC in Richmond, IN is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Setup Specialist to prepare and run production jobs, install tooling and set process parameters.

You will work with a process engineer, document setups, obtain 1st piece approval, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining safety and equipment.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 55 pounds; day shifts on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Set up production equipment and processes per SOPs.
• Must be able to operate forklift, overhead crane, power tools and computer as required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting.
• Good communication, team orientation and proactiveness.
• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with reasonable accommodations if needed.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Proper setup of existing jobs including installation of tooling, material, parameters, programming automation equipment and conveyors.
• Obtain 1st piece approval from the quality department.
• Perform first-time setups and develop robust setups for new jobs with process engineer support; document the setup.
• Set up and use approved scientific methods in daily tasks.
• Use time efficiently; continuously improve setups.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work place and proper equipment upkeep.
• Follow all company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
