Job summary

Sauder Woodworking Co. is hiring hands-on Machine Setup Operators to join our parts-making teams in Archbold, Ohio.

This role focuses on operating and setting up production equipment, maintaining quality, and adhering to 5S standards while supporting a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be trained to troubleshoot equipment, document production records, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing equipment.
• Strong math skills and basic algebra.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Comfortable with data entry/computers.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing equipment to safety, quality, and production standards.
• Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on production machinery.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout the shift.
• Perform inspections and quality checks; make quality decisions.
• Complete production records and basic computer documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area per 5S standards.
• Meet daily production goals and schedule.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts.
