J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for our MIA manufacturing facility in Moosic, PA. You will independently manage key accounting functions, including BOMs, product costing, and month-end close, partnering with Operations and Plant leadership to ensure GAAP-compliant, timely financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing accounting processes and GAAP.
• Ability to analyze variances and communicate findings.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, BOMs, routings and material costs.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily manufacturing accounting processes.
• Review production reporting, inventory backflushing, and related entries in JD Edwards.
• Analyze production, material usage, labor, overhead, yield, scrap, and variances.
• Investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead BOM, routings and cost-related data maintenance and analysis.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing with reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support plant controller with financial statements, schedules, and audits.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure accurate inventory reporting.
