Job summary

J&J Snack Foods Corp. seeks a Controller to oversee all financial activities at the plant, including cost accounting, inventory management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will partner with Plant Leadership to provide insights and drive financial and operational goals.

The role requires independent processing of financial transactions, maintenance of records, and reconciliation of daily production, BOMs, inventories, and GL accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Fundamental understanding of GAAP; CPA or CMA preferred but not required.
• Three to seven years of experience in an accounting/finance role, preferably manufacturing.
• Solid background in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees monthly financial statements with variance analysis vs budget and forecast.
• Ensures month-end close with journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and cost allocations.
• Monitors COGS, plant expenditures, and financial activity for accuracy and policy alignment.
• Maintains general ledger integrity and GAAP compliance.
