Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to lead manufacturing accounting at the MIA facility. You will manage costs, inventory, BOMs, and month-end close, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong internal controls.

You will partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Plant Finance leadership to investigate variances, drive accurate production reporting, and support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing accounting.
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP system.
• Ability to analyze variances and identify root causes.
• Experience with inventory, BOM costing, and cost-roll processes.
• Proven record of accurate month-end closing and reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily manufacturing accounting processes and BOM cost data.
• Review production reporting, inventory movements, and backflushing.
• Analyze variances in material, labor, overhead, and yield.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing with supporting documentation.
• Support internal controls and audit requests.
