Job summary

Nesco Resource in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing manufacturing operation. This hands-on plant-level role connects production, costs, and accounting to deliver financial insight and improved performance.

You will work with Operations, Production, Purchasing, Project Management, and Accounting to monitor costs, margins, and inventory, driving informed decisions and stronger profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or project-based environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, and month-end close.
• Experience with inventory, WIP, COGS, standard/actual costs, and manufacturing variances.
• Experience analyzing project costs, budgets, margins, or cost-to-complete estimates.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large financial/operational data.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Comfortable collaborating with accounting and non-accounting teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities related to manufacturing costs, inventory, WIP, labor, materials, and overhead.
• Analyze project and production costs against budgets, estimates, and actual results.
• Partner with Project Management and Operations on cost-to-complete estimates and margin analysis.
• Support monthly revenue recognition, accruals, COGS, and close activities.
• Monitor inventory valuation, cycle counts, and variances.
• Review BOMs, routings, labor and material costs to identify cost-control opportunities.
• Track project backlog and provide financial reporting for leadership.
• Support audits, tax requests, internal controls, and accounting policies.
