Job summary

Fortune 500 global leader in electronic instruments and electromechanical devices is seeking a Manufacturing Segment Controller to lead site finance and act as a strategic partner to the business unit manager. This hands-on role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.

Reporting to the Division Vice President of Business Unit Finance, you will drive month-end close, KPI monitoring, capital projects analyses

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting and finance experience.
3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, US GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX 404.
Product cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
Public company and M&A experience preferred.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Budgets & forecasts, analyzing revenue, profitability, expenses, and working capital.
Monitor KPIs, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support product development.
Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, physical counts, and excess and obsolete inventory reserves.
Drive working capital improvements across accounts receivable, inventory, accounts payable, and other operating accounts.
Evaluate capital expenditures & prepare financial analyses, inc: NPV calculations.
Compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, & company policies.
Support internal and external audits and divisional reporting requirements.
