Job summary

Fortune 500 Global Leader in designing and manufacturing advanced electronic instruments and electromechanical devices is seeking a Business Segment Controller to serve as the site finance lead and strategic partner.

Reporting to the Division Vice President of Business Unit Finance, this hands-on role oversees financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with a strong emphasis on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master’s preferred.
7+ years in progressive manufacturing accounting and finance.
3–5 years of leadership/management experience.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and US GAAP with SOX familiarity.
Product cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
Public company and M&A experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Budgets & forecasts, analyzing revenue, profitability, expenses, and working capital.
Monitor KPIs, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support product development.
Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, physical counts, and obsolete inventory reserves.
Drive working capital improvements across AR, inventory, AP, and other operating accounts.
Evaluate capital expenditures and prepare financial analyses, including NPV calculations.
Compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
Support internal and external audits and divisional reporting requirements.
