6 Degrees Search client seeks a Business Segment Controller to lead site finance for a Fortune 500 designer and manufacturer of advanced electronic instruments and electromechanical devices. You will partner with the business unit manager on reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with a manufacturing cost focus.

Reporting to the Division Vice President of Business Unit Finance, this hands-on role emphasizes cost accounting, inventory management, and working capital optimization, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years manufacturing accounting and finance experience.
• 3-5 years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606, and SOX.
• Experience with Oracle, HFM, and Power BI.
• Public company and M&A experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Budgets & forecasts, analyzing revenue, profitability, expenses, and working capital.
• Monitor KPIs, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support product development.
• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, physical counts, and obsolete inventory reserves.
• Drive working capital improvements across AR, inventory, and AP.
• Evaluate capital expenditures and prepare financial analyses, incl. NPV calculations.
• Compliance with US GAAP, SOX requirements, internal controls, & company policies.
• Support internal and external audits and divisional reporting requirements.
