Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting physical access control and/or video surveillance systems.
• Extensive experience with Genetec Security Center.
• Certification in Omnicast and Synergis.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware, cabling, and low-voltage systems.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, floor plans, and technical documentation.
• Experience working with vendors and integrators on installations and service.
• Strong communication skills and proactive problem solving.
• Familiarity with low-voltage cabling standards and structured cabling practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot access control and video surveillance hardware.
• Perform application-level configuration and administration of security systems.
• Diagnose and resolve system, hardware, and network issues, escalating as needed.
• Support deployment, commissioning, and upgrade of security systems across sites.
• Coordinate with vendors and integrators on installations and service calls.
• Assist in managing small-to-medium security projects with scheduling and reporting.
• Perform preventive maintenance and health checks to ensure uptime.
• Configure networking components supporting security systems in collaboration with Network Engineering.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, as-builts, and SOPs.
• Maintain device inventory and hardware spares for sites.
• Communicate project updates and issue resolutions to stakeholders.
