Job summary

Generac Power Systems in Wisconsin is seeking a Safety Tech to join our manufacturing site. You will work with EHS leaders and cross-functional teams to prevent workplace incidents and promote health and safety awareness.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months in manufacturing, knowledge of OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations, and strong communication. You will lead safety audits, trainings, and incident reporting, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of EHS policies and safety standards.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, WDNR, DOT and local regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage in floor safety needs including incident response and safety coaching.
• Facilitate new hire orientation.
• Collect environmental compliance data e.g., air monitoring and waste inspections.
• Monitor and archive inspection supplies for PITs.
• Be primary contact for EHS issues on the production floor.
• Post emergency procedures and training documentation.
• Assist in emergency response and other duties as assigned.
