Job summary

US Diversity Job Search seeks a Safety Specialist to support the development and implementation of EHS programs across multiple manufacturing sites, reporting to the Corporate EHS Manager and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and supervisors.

You will identify hazards, strengthen regulatory compliance, reduce injuries and near misses, conduct training, and manage safety data with a proactive safety culture in mind. Travel up to 30% is required.

Qualifications

BS/BA Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
3–5 years experience in occupational health and safety.
Experience in manufacturing; union experience preferred.
Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of EHS programs across sites.
Assist investigations of incidents, near-misses, and environmental events.
Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and data collection.
Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate corrective actions with plant leadership.
Provide health and safety guidance and training to staff.
Travel up to 30%.
