Job summary

JCB is seeking a Safety Specialist to create and run safety programs across a manufacturing facility in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on training, compliance, incident investigation, and continuous improvement to minimize workplace incidents.

You will lead safety initiatives, collaborate with multiple teams, and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. The position is full-time and non-exempt, located at 13210 Palo Alto Road, San Antonio, TX 78073.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years safety experience in manufacturing or construction setting.
• Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, regulatory compliance and abatement.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests per law.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics.
• Promote a safe work culture within a high-paced manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate emergency response plans and safety drills.
• Maintain safety documentation and reports.
• Investigate incidents and assist in countermeasure development.
• Provide safety training and certifications to team members.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
