Insight Global seeks a Safety Manufacturing Specialist to oversee equipment safety and readiness for production at our Buffalo facility. You will be the sole on-site safety representative supporting a new product launch, working with union safety reps, engineers, and leadership to uphold top safety standards.

You will review equipment readiness, apply status tags, and sign off on production-ready machines while leading safety tours and driving hazard mitigation.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of industrial/manufacturing safety experience.
• Strong knowledge of LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, interlocks, and emergency stops.
• Experience with equipment risk assessments, installation, commissioning, or machine runoffs.
• Strong communication and organization skills, with the ability to identify hazards, drive corrective actions, and work cross-functionally.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Safety/EHS or related field.
• Automotive, union, or manufacturing launch experience.
• Experience with g-Comply, g-Risk/Safety FMEA, PS18, PS2, SCS/MPS, or equipment validation.

Responsabilités

• Apply and manage yellow, red, and green tags to indicate equipment status.
• Sign off on machines for production use once safety standards are met.
• Lead weekly safety observation tours across the facility.
• Identify and elevate unsafe conditions - your standard is higher than most.
• Complete and manage incident reports, investigations, and evidence documentation.
• Review pre-installation requirements for new equipment and tooling.
• Support ergonomic assessments and improvements where applicable.
• Work closely with union safety reps, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
• Communicate clearly and confidently - this role requires someone who can speak up and stay on task.
• Ensure timelines are met - we cannot fall behind.
• Help onboard others as needed.

Job Description

This role is critical in ensuring machines are safe to power on, cut parts, and transition into full production. You’ll be the sole safety representative on-site supporting a new product launch, working closely with union safety reps, engineers, and leadership to uphold the highest safety standards.
