Storm Search LLC is seeking a Safety Manager to lead EH&S initiatives at a large manufacturing facility on-site. You will drive OSHA compliance, develop and improve plant safety programs, and lead incident investigations across shifts.
Responsibilities include safety training, coaching supervisors, conducting inspections, and fostering a proactive safety culture with a hands-on plant-floor presence.

A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead all site-level environmental, health, and safety initiatives at a large manufacturing facility.
This individual will serve as the primary safety leader for the site and work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to strengthen the facility's safety culture, maintain OSHA compliance, reduce workplace incidents, and continuously improve safety programs.
The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing safety experience and be comfortable working directly on the plant floor in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. While this is primarily a daytime position, occasional early morning, evening, or weekend availability may be necessary to support different shifts or respond to safety-related issues.
Serve as the site's primary safety and OSHA compliance resource.
Develop, administer, and continuously improve plant safety programs.
Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
Lead investigations of workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses.
Identify root causes and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct routine plant safety inspections, audits, and walk-throughs.
Maintain required OSHA documentation, including the OSHA 300 log.
Manage behavior-based safety initiatives and other safety improvement programs.
Ensure appropriate lockout/tagout, PPE, hearing protection, and other plant-floor safety practices are followed.
Track safety metrics, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Manage the facility's safety training program.
Develop and deliver training on OSHA requirements and other workplace safety topics.
Track employee training and certification completion.
Provide safety education and coaching to supervisors and managers.
Conduct or coordinate required occupational safety testing and assessments.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the manufacturing facility and across shifts.
Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and plant leadership.
Lead plant-wide safety meetings and communicate safety initiatives and corrective actions.
Serve as an approachable resource for employee safety questions and concerns.
Help develop a proactive safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement.
Promote employee participation in safety programs and improvement initiatives.
Support administration of the workers' compensation program.
Coordinate required incident documentation and reporting.
Work with external workers' compensation partners as needed.
Assist with safe return-to-work programs for injured employees.
Establish safety goals in partnership with plant leadership.
Maintain accurate safety records, reports, checklists, and databases.
Conduct periodic reviews of safety programs to ensure policies remain current.
Complete PPE assessments and ensure appropriate protective equipment is available.
Oversee employee safety-related programs and recognition initiatives.
Share safety performance, trends, and recommendations with site leadership.
Participate in plant leadership meetings and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience will be considered.
Strong hands‑on safety experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and required safety programs.
Experience developing and delivering OSHA and workplace safety training.
Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
Understanding of behavior‑based safety programs is preferred.
Strong knowledge of plant‑floor safety practices, including PPE and lockout/tagout.
Experience managing safety documentation, reporting, audits, and compliance records.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable presenting and providing training to groups of employees.
Ability to influence employees and leadership at all levels of an organization.
Strong organizational and follow‑up skills.
Ability to analyze safety data and use findings to drive improvement.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and EHS/safety management systems.
Ability to effectively interpret and apply OSHA regulations within a manufacturing environment.
Approachable leadership style with the ability to build trust with hourly employees and management.
This position supports an active manufacturing facility operating across multiple shifts. The Safety Manager will regularly spend time on the production floor interacting with employees, observing operations, conducting audits, and evaluating workplace conditions.
The role requires the ability to walk throughout a manufacturing facility and climb stairs as needed.
The strongest candidate will be someone who has already owned significant safety responsibilities within a manufacturing facility and is comfortable being both a strategic safety leader and a hands‑on presence on the plant floor.
