Job summary

ARAUCO in Moncure, NC is seeking a Safety Coordinator to lead health and safety programs in our manufacturing facility. You will coach staff on daily operations and ensure compliance with site policies and procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Sciences (preferred), 4+ years of manufacturing safety experience, and experience with automated processes. Proficiency in MS Office; SAP and CAD familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or environmental sciences preferred.
• 4+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer programs.
• Some knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety methods.
• Strong communication, detail oriented, and follow-up skills.
• Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance; ISO standards and SAP/CAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and encouraging work environment and coach employees on health and safety policies.
• Develop and monitor health and safety training programs to meet legislated requirements.
• Lead safety initiatives and drive performance on the mill floor.
• Investigate and report on accidents/incidents and identify root causes.
• Coordinate and report on internal/external health and safety audits.
