Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Safety and Environmental Compliance professional to develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program for a manufacturing plant in Northern Iowa, with relocation assistance available.

You will lead hazard analyses, create and deliver training, and oversee incident prevention and regulatory compliance. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety and Health or related field, 3–5 years in safety management, and solid knowledge of OSHA,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety and Health, Engineering, or similar.
3–5 years of safety management experience in manufacturing.
Broad knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local safety and environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform or coordinate job hazard analyses/job safety analyses for manufacturing operations.
Develop an employee training program focused on safety.
Implement accident prevention and injury prevention processes and procedures.
Maintain a comprehensive safety program, appropriate for a manufacturing plant, including emergency preparedness.
Participate in safety audits.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain employee injury records.
