Job summary

Chart, Inc. in New Prague, MN, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager in day-to-day HSE activities, inspect equipment and facilities, and manage hazardous waste disposition.

You will monitor OSHA and state regulations, train staff, perform safety audits, and collaborate with production to foster a safer work environment and continuous improvement. Applicants should have manufacturing safety experience, strong communication, First Aid/CPR/AED

Qualifications

Experience in emergency response or in a formal safety role in manufacturing is required.
Strong communication and group presentation skills.
Ability to maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications.

Responsibilities

Monitor the company’s safety standards in accordance with OSHA and State Regulations.
Train and assist others (Area Managers, Coordinators, and employees) to complete their Safety responsibilities.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Work closely with production workers/supervisory personnel to evaluate production activities and create a safe work environment.
Assist with incident investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
Investigate near misses with employees to determine root causes.
