Pegasus Home Fashions in the United States seeks a Safety Coordinator to support a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace within a manufacturing facility. The role coordinates safety programs, conducts inspections and training, investigates incidents, and works with employees and supervisors to reduce hazards.

You will maintain training records and regulatory files, track corrective actions, and assist with workers’ compensation documentation and return-to-work coordination

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of safety experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or construction environment preferred.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and hazard identification.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct inspections and communicate findings professionally.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar workplace software.
• Ability to maintain confidential and accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with employees at all levels.
• Ability to spend extended periods walking and standing on the manufacturing floor.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Implement and maintain company safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Conduct routine workplace inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
• Track corrective actions and verify timely completion.
• Investigate workplace injuries, near misses, property damage, and other incidents.
• Prepare incident reports and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate employee safety orientation and ongoing safety training.
• Maintain training records, inspection documentation, safety reports, and regulatory files.
• Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
• Help administer programs related to: Personal protective equipment, Lockout/tagout, Hazard communication, Machine guarding, Fall protection, Emergency response, Forklift safety, Hearing conservation, Respiratory protection.
• Participate in emergency drills and maintain emergency response procedures.
• Serve as a resource to employees and supervisors regarding safety concerns.
• Assist with workers’ compensation documentation and return-to-work coordination.
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and employee safety initiatives.
• Communicate safety alerts, lessons learned, and policy updates.
• Assist with environmental, chemical, and waste-management requirements as assigned.
