Job summary
Saint-Gobain Ceramics - SGP in Amherst, NY is seeking an onsite Reliability Engineer to lead maintenance, facilities, and reliability initiatives for a 24/7 manufacturing operation. You will drive equipment reliability, optimize maintenance processes, and lead capital projects to improve safety, productivity, and cost performance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
- 5–7 years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or reliability engineering roles.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
- Preferred experience in chemical, ceramics, or similar manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and efficiency.
- Manage maintenance teams and contractors for safe, high-quality execution.
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets and cost controls; monitor KPIs like downtime and OEE.
- Oversee spare parts inventory strategy for availability and cost optimization.
- Lead capital projects from concept through execution, including scope and vendor selection.
- Support process improvements to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and lower costs.
