Job summary

Boeing in Berkeley, Missouri is seeking a high‑performing MR&D Engineer to join the team, reporting to the St. Louis MR&D group. You will drive robotics, automation, and manufacturing technology insertion across aircraft and weapons programs, drafting specs and collaborating with suppliers to reduce costs and improve production quality.

This 100% onsite role requires U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.
1+ years of industry experience in aerospace or large-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Support robotics/automation, production equipment, mechatronics, and inspection/assembly technologies.
Assist across fabrication, paint, and assembly operations for multiple programs.
Work with a technical lead engineer to complete tasks and develop solutions.
Apply engineering and scientific principles to improve production operations and reduce costs.
Review drawings and specifications to ensure proper equipment selection and use.
Draft specifications for deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes.
Evaluate novel technologies for potential business applications.
Coordinate with suppliers for purchase of production equipment.
Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule targets.
Contribute to root cause investigations for fabrication/assembly issues.
