Job summary

Schneider Electric is seeking a Customer Satisfaction and Quality Manager to drive quality excellence across manufacturing sectors at the Fairfield, OH facility. You will oversee process control, FMEA alignment, containment actions and lead audits and improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Engineering degree, 3+ years in manufacturing quality/engineering, 8D problem solving, Six Sigma knowledge, and ESD experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing quality or manufacturing engineering.
  • Experience with 8D problem solving methodology and associated tools (e.g., 5Why, fishbone).
  • Six Sigma knowledge and/or certification is highly desirable.
  • ESD experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Be in charge of the Quality of one or several sectors.
  • Ensure that the Process Control Plan is applied and aligned with FMEA.
  • Challenge supervisors to identify and manage risks preventively.
  • Be the local expert of the traceability system on the manufacturing floor.
  • Lead Process Audits and Process FMEAs.
  • Create and maintain quality control documentation and related training.
  • Lead continuous improvement on the sector perimeter.
  • Lead containment actions and root cause analysis of quality issues.
  • Participate in Short Interval Management of production lines.
  • Provide solutions to increase Customer Satisfaction.
  • Contribute quality input for new evolutions and process/control capability.
  • Be the local expert of assembled products in the sector.

Overview

This role will take all necessary actions to make sure that a product or service satisfies customer requirements and is the driving force in implementing continuous quality improvement. This involves up to 15% travel during the first 9–12 months to support product line relocation and project execution activities. The percentage of travel will be minimal after this period, fully supporting our Fairfield, OH facility.

This involves
  • Quality Excellence of the Offers delivered to the customers
  • Quality Excellence of Supply Chain (from Supplier to Customers)
  • Timely and effective management of customer containment actions (Business Risk Escalation, Offer Safety Alerts, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • In charge of the Quality of one or several sectors
  • Ensure that the Process Control Plan is applied and consistent with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Challenge supervisors to identify and manage risks in a preventive mode
  • Be the local expert of the traceability system for the manufacturing floor

  • Create and maintain quality control documentation, ensure related training and application in the sector
  • Lead continuous improvement on the sector perimeter
  • Lead containment actions, root cause analysis of quality issues and problem solving in the sector
  • Be a member of the Short Interval Management of the production lines
  • Provide solutions to increase Customer Satisfaction
  • Provide input and challenges about quality for new evolution, contribute to process/control capability implementation

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic, etc.)
  • 3+ years of experience with manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent
  • Experience with 8D problem solving methodology, tool utilization (e.g., 5Why, fishbone (cause and effect), etc.)
  • Six Sigma knowledge, experience, certification highly desired
  • Experience on ESD desired
Compensation

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
