Job summary

Schneider Electric in Connecticut is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer to plan, develop, and run a broad program of quality improvement across manufacturing processes. You will lead a team of Quality Technicians and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

This role emphasizes PFMEA leadership, control plans, 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma, and the implementation of digital quality tools while maintaining ISO 9000-compliant systems and internal audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
  • Strong quality, industrial and/or manufacturing engineering background.
  • Experience with 8D problem solving methodology and tool utilization.
  • Supervisor skills preferred.
  • Application of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques, statistical methods.
  • Experience with 5S, Kaizen, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process flow mapping.
  • Experience with process auditing and knowledge of ISO standards.
  • Strong Analytical skills utilizing Excel, etc.

Schneider Electric has an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Quality Engineer position at our facility. In this role, the individual will have the responsibility of planning, developing, and executing a diverse range of quality improvement projects and programs, leveraging extensive knowledge of quality and manufacturing processes, and leading a team of Quality Technicians.

What will you do?
  • Supervise a team of Quality Technicians
  • Monitor and report key quality metrics for product lines
  • Manage quality-related production line disruption and alerts
  • Execute root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for product and process defects including customer complaints
  • Lead PFMEA activities for product lines and ensure Process Control Plans are applied
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities such as 5S, SPS, Kaizen, and Six Sigma projects
  • Lead implementation of new digital quality tools
  • Assist in maintaining and improving a quality system based on ISO9000 standards and conduct internal audits
What qualifications will make you successful?
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred
