Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer complaints using structured problem-solving and 8D reporting.
  • Create and analyze quality metrics, production reports, and KPIs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve quality.
  • Support audits (ISO and internal/external) and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and other teams.
  • Develop monthly quality performance reports for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Promote safety, accountability, and a culture of quality across operations.

Job description

Manufacturing Quality Supervisor to oversee quality operations within our copper and sheet metal fabrication and painting processes. This role is responsible for ensuring products consistently meet internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations throughout key manufacturing stages, including punching, cutting, bending, assembly, and powder/liquid painting. The Quality Supervisor will lead a team of inspectors, testers, and pack‑out associates while driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a strong culture of quality and safety.

Work Schedule: This position supports first‑shift operations, with typical working hours of approximately 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Weekend flexibility is required to support production schedules, audits, quality initiatives, and business needs.

What Will You Do?
  • Lead, train, mentor, and supervise a team of quality inspectors, testers, and pack‑out associates to ensure consistent performance and adherence to quality standards.
  • Oversee quality inspections and testing activities throughout fabrication and painting operations, including punching, cutting, bending, assembly, and finishing processes.
  • Ensure all inspection and testing procedures comply with applicable regulatory, customer, environmental, and safety requirements.
  • Prioritize workflow within quality and testing functions to ensure adequate time for inspection and verification of products before shipment.
  • Investigate product and process quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze customer complaints and quality issues using structured problem‑solving methodologies, including 8D reporting.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze quality metrics, production reports, Pareto analyses, and key performance indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving process capability, and increasing overall product quality.
  • Support Safety, Schneider Production System (SPS), ISO, and other internal or external audits.
  • Ensure corrective actions resulting from audits are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and other support teams to resolve quality‑related issues and improve production performance.
  • Develop and communicate monthly quality performance reports for plant leadership and global stakeholders.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality excellence, and continuous improvement across all manufacturing operations.
What Qualifications Will Make You Successful?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading or supervising production, quality, or manufacturing teams.
  • Experience supporting quality functions in metal fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing, copper fabrication, powder coating, liquid painting, or related industrial environments strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and evaluate engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Experience creating and analyzing Pareto charts, quality metrics, and statistical reports.
  • Hands‑on experience preparing and managing 8D reports, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality standards, auditing processes, and quality management systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and organizational skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and quality reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in copper fabrication, sheet metal manufacturing, powder coating, liquid painting, or industrial manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of coating quality standards, paint inspection methods, and defect analysis.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Schneider Production System (SPS) methodologies.
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives that drive measurable operational and customer satisfaction results.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 – USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short‑term incentives. The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States.
