Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to lead 8D and corrective action processes across two sites. You will identify root causes, implement effective actions, and prevent recurrence, working with plant and engineering teams to improve long-term quality performance.

Responsibilities include reducing repeat issues, analyzing defect data, and applying Lean methods to PFMEA/APQP updates. This fully onsite Mt Carroll, IL role offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field is preferred.
• 2–7 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or reliability engineering.
• Experience managing corrective actions from initiation through closure.
• Strong proficiency in quality engineering and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the 8D and corrective action processes across two manufacturing sites.
• Identify root causes of quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Drive reduction of repeat issues through problem-solving and prevention methodologies.
• Investigate recurring and high-impact quality concerns.
• Partner with plant and engineering teams to improve corrective action execution.
• Verify corrective actions remain effective and prevent recurrence.
