Actalent is hiring a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer for the Portland, ME area. The role focuses on improving quality and reliability by root-cause analysis, equipment optimization, and robust documentation to meet regulatory and safety standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and operators to drive continuous improvement, support compliance, and maintain a safe manufacturing environment on site in Portland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in an engineering role within manufacturing.
• Structured problem-solving to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of manufacturing failures and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues by evaluating machine logic and controls.
• Support experiments, validation, testing, and data analysis for improvements.
• Analyze processes for efficiency and plan improvements.
• Create and revise SOPs, specifications, risk assessments, and validation protocols.
• Collaborate to implement solutions across materials, equipment, and processes.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Provide training on SOPs to technicians and operators.
