Job summary
Allegion seeks a Manufacturing Quality Engineer in Greenfield, IN to support and improve internal manufacturing processes. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance quality and productivity through quality assurance planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Reports to the site Quality Manager. Responsibilities include problem solving, APQP/Lean/Six Sigma workflows, and coordination with suppliers, operations, and design teams to ensure robust quality systems and new product
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- 5-8 years of Quality Engineering experience in QA/QC/Supplier Quality with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
- Experience with APQP, Lean, Six Sigma, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, VAVE.
- Proficient with standard measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Knowledge of ISO-9001/TS-16949/AS 9100 quality systems.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex product quality and process problems.
- Be voice of customer in new product development projects.
- Recommend design, manufacturing, and quality-control changes to improve quality/reliability.
- Gather and analyze data for reporting improvements.
- Develop and apply quality analysis tools for root-cause analysis.
