Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure high quality across products and processes, working on the production floor and desk-based analysis. You will lead corrective actions, perform capability studies, and support audits while developing QMS documentation.

The role requires ISO 9001 experience, PPAP/FAI familiarity, and strong problem-solving skills to drive continuous improvement in a welding/manufacturing environment. Onsite in Middlebury, IN with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 60% time on the production floor performing capability studies and problem solving.
• Experience with PPAP and FAI activities is required.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems preferred.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement equipment and metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead corrective actions and structured problem solving to address quality issues.
• Conduct capability studies, MSA, Gauge R&R, and process audits to improve performance.
• Support FAI requirements with documentation, inspections, and compliance coordination.
• Develop and maintain QMS documentation, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
• Participate in design reviews and support new product launches to ensure quality requirements are met.
