Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure high quality standards across products and manufacturing processes. This role blends hands-on floor work (60%) with desk-based analysis (40%), supporting audits, QMS documentation, design reviews, and new product launches.

The position emphasizes problem-solving, capability studies, and collaboration with engineering, production, and leadership teams, located on-site in Goshen, IN.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in engineering or welding is preferred.
• 3–5 years in welding/metals manufacturing.
• Experience with PPAP and ISO 9001 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead corrective actions and structured problem solving for quality issues.
• Conduct capability studies, MSA, Gauge R&R, and process audits.
• Support FAI documentation and inspections per customer specs.
• Develop and maintain QMS documentation and forms.
• Participate in design reviews and new product launches for quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to improve quality and efficiency.
• Investigate customer quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Assist with internal/external audits and follow up on findings.
• Use metrology tools to perform inspections and verify conformance.
• Develop control plans, process controls, and inspection methods.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote quality culture.
