Job summary

Talnt is hiring a Quality Engineer (Manufacturing Quality Engineer) to support QA, QC, and continuous improvement in an aluminum casting and machining environment in North Texas. You will work with Engineering, Production, and Operations to ensure conformance to customer specs and industry standards.

The role requires experience with AS9100, IATF 16949, Nadcap, RCCA, and APQP/PPAP processes, with a focus on process control, PPAP submissions, and QMS compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specs and inspection docs.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Understanding of SPC, process capability, data analysis.
• Proficient in preparing technical documentation and quality reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Industrial environment readiness and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet customer specs and quality standards through QA, QC and process control.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Operations to develop robust processes and QC plans.
• Review drawings, GD&T, specs to set inspection criteria.
• Perform and coordinate visual, dimensional, in-process and final inspections.
• Review routers, records, and traceability to confirm proper processes.
• Prepare Certificates of Conformance and inspection reports.
• Develop PPAP and AS9102 packages using APQP principles.
• Lead RCCA investigations using 5 Whys, fishbone, 8D and CAPA.
• Support QMS compliance with AS9100, IATF 16949, Nadcap, ANSI/ASTM.
• Analyze quality metrics and defects trends to drive improvements.
