Job summary

Talnt in North Texas seeks a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Engineer to safeguard quality in aluminum casting and machining. The role supports QA, QC, process improvements, and regulatory alignment across aerospace, automotive, and industrial markets.

The ideal candidate will have AS9100, IATF 16949, Nadcap familiarity, and hands-on experience with FAI, PPAP, APQP, and RCCA/CAPA. Strong GD&T, SPC and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of quality engineering or QA/QC experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems and inspection procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Understanding of SPC, process capability, probability and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills.
• Proficiency in preparing quality documentation and compliance records.
• Ability to work across departments in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet customer specs, drawings, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production and Operations to improve processes and QC plans.
• Review drawings, specifications, GD&T, and quality requirements to set inspection criteria.
• Perform inspections and verification to confirm conformance before shipment.
• Review routers, inspection records, and traceability to ensure completeness.
• Prepare COAs, material certifications, inspection reports, FAIRs, and QA docs.
• Develop PPAP and AS9102 packages using APQP and customer requirements.
• Lead RCCA investigations using 5 Whys, fishbone, 8D and CAPA.
• Support QMS compliance with AS9100, IATF 16949, Nadcap, ANSI, ASTM standards.
• Analyze quality metrics and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
