Job summary

O'Neal Manufacturing Services, LLC in Indianapolis is seeking a Plant Quality Leader to drive the quality program across the manufacturing plant. You will lead safety, quality and delivery initiatives using lean and Six Sigma methods, and you will partner with customers to meet expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive QA experience in manufacturing, and the ability to implement corrective actions and PPAP processes. Travel to supplier sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ISO9001 quality management systems.
• 3+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience with automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Familiarity with GD&T and dimensional measurement.
• Experience with OEM customers.
• Lean systems and/or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality program for the manufacturing plant and promote safety, quality, and delivery initiatives.
• Communicate quality goals to plant personnel and drive achievement efforts.
• Manage QA department resources to meet customer goals and deadlines.
• Develop development plans for QA personnel and ensure high-functioning department.
• Staff and equip QA for product inspection, metrology, auditing, process control and continuous improvement.
• Lead root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions for customer issues.
• Oversee containment and prevent defect propagation through the supply chain.
• Drive PPAP activities and coordinate with plant staff for seamless product launches.
• Write and implement work instructions to prevent defects and establish quality gates.
