Job summary

Thomas Built Buses, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Supervisor II to lead a team of QA professionals working closely with Operations to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing and the highest product quality.

You will drive performance through coaching, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure first-time quality. Your leadership will shape containment, corrective actions, and continuous improvement, with focus on metrics like FTT and DPU to deliver results for

Qualifications

• Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5 Why, A3, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Experience with quality systems such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, APQP, or PPAP.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills with experience driving corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze performance metrics and use data to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Champion a culture where safety is the highest priority and ensure compliance in the production area.
• Lead, coach, and develop QA team members to achieve objectives.
• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering to maintain and improve product quality.
• Drive containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor key quality indicators and take action to meet business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with design-critical processes and work instructions.
• Support investigations related to quality concerns from internal, customer, or suppliers.
• Foster accountability and cross-functional collaboration for quality excellence.
